Who knew days off could be so much work! I attempted to sleep in, only to awake at 9 am suddenly for no reason at all. BLAH! I made eggs and pancakes and orange juice for breakfast - yum! Then I got to clean the kitchen (which has our piano in it presently due to the renovation) and shovel the sidewalk. I never noticed how much sidewalk is actually on our property line until now! It was fun, though. It is still snowing, and it hasn't stopped since last yesterday. And it's still the thick, wet snow that weights 6000 pounds when you try and shovel it. So naturally the only thing to do is make Lipton Chicken Noodle Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches for lunch, then hang out and watch Monster's Inc. My friend/unofficial brother Jason came over and me, him and James put in some quality chillin' time. Literally, too. We had to open the windows and doors for awhile to get some ventilation from the paint fumes and it got pretty cold for a bit, but we just couldn't stand it anymore. I did however, spend quite a bit of time preparing youth activities for the next month and the song list for Sunday, so it wasn't a complete slacker day. But none the less it was beautiful! I love snow (just not shoveling it). Well, it's off to finish a couple more things and then to bed. Peace.

There is a wide world out there, my friend, full of pain, but filled with joy as well. The former keeps you on the path of growth, and the latter makes the journey tolerable. -R.A. Salvatore, from "Sojourn"
