"Welcome to the planet
welcome to existance
everyone's here, everyone's here
everbody's watching you
everybody waits for you now
what happens next?
what happens next?
I dare you to move..."
What a KICK ASS song! (Dare you to move - Switchfoot)
Ever have those songs that are just like, SO perfect for the moment that you think the sun is going to fall out of the sky and shatter on the sidewalk beside you? This is one of those songs for me. It makes me think of the universe and of stars and of growing up and falling down and holding on and getting back up because suddenly if feels okay to stumble and screw up becuase everyone does and god's grace is so sufficient. Ahh...
So lateley God ahs been so teching me about lving out of the spirit and not the flesh. Mmm...that's a good'er. One of those lessons that you know will radically change your life to very deepest innermost person, but past that it's a mystery in the unfolding. McGarry, who teaches the youth / young adults on Sunday mornings, has been so challenging us about walking in Kingdom authourity, and how if we are "partakers in the Divine Nature" then shouldn't our lives look a little different? it's so good becasue that can be such a point of contention for me. I KNOW THERE'S MORE....I KNOW IT! I just can't seem to take hold of it! So through the last few weeks God has been showing me how the sin naure inside springs up and wrestles with my spirit and as a result I make choices that cater to the soul and body rather than the things if the spirit. Whoa! let me tell you...once we as children of God start to get this through our heads, things will start to look different in the church. There has been such a renewing to the call of Malachi 3:17-18 in my heart. To again see a distinction between the righteous and the wicked and to see the church rise up in power and authority again!
It's such a struggle, though. I have had such an awareness and gratitude for God's grace and patience over the last few weeks as I am quickly learning how badly I suck a this game! but whatever...it's not about "arriving" anyways - right Christa? ;) To quote McGarry, "I don't know if I'll achieve perfection on this side of heaven or not, but that's not the point. I want to live my life pressing on for the prize of Christlikeness...and if I don'e get there before I die, then at least I'll die trying". What a challenge!
Ya baby! I am so fired up today and I don't even know why. It's basically a waste of a morning at school casue I need a hi8 camera and a firewire to capture my footage into Final Cut to continue working on my project...both of which are unavailable at the moment. Yes, and I am aware of how much I sound like a computer geek. But I figured if I paid this much money to become one then I might as well promote myself as such at every given opportunity possible.
Life is just so exciting, you know? lol...for some reason I keep picturing Jeff's excited face, complete with big smile and hunched shoulders and half-laugh. Jeff I miss you so much buddy!
Anyways, before I loose my audience (even though you are somewhat captive)... MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION OF THE MONTH!!
WHO ALL IS GOING TO JESUS FEST? I am so excited, being the new kid on the J-Fest block. Seriously! So very very stoked! You have no idea...
And before I go, a couple shout-outs, a few updates, my current tunes and one or two opinons on matters of unimportace:
MY SHOUT OUTS:
JAMES - Hey. I'll decide.
GEOFF - You. Me. Saturday afternoon. Victoria street. Get sick. (I'm seriously loving the frog suit by the way). lol
MARY - It was so good to chat with you! I'm on the Hydro CD like a New York Cabbie on someone who just cut him off. Have fun at camp!
LIZARD - We need to have another all nigher phone call soon, kay? Say hi to Tyler for me.
JEFF - I miss you so much. Just saying...lol
MY OPINIONS:
> Mac computers rock
> Jessica Simson annoys me..anyone else seen "Newlyweds"? Makes me so angry! Even though I know it's staged, I just can NOT handle the spoiled princess gig. anyways...
> I am glad that the PC party is doing so well...hope they win! GO STEVEN HARPER!!
> The MMVA'S were overrated
> to the security guard who yelled at me for filming my project downtown on friday...if I don't do my projects, I can't pass school. And if I don't pass school, I can't get a job. So in the big picture you are not only making my day crappy but you are also contributing to unemplyment among the youth of Canada. How do you sleep at night? I'm praying for you.

- I have successfully completed 3 weeks of school and only skipped one day - and it was to go filming! My teacher is really cool and I'm having alot of fun, except for the getting up early and having to be there part...
- I did very well on my presentation on Thursday. Yay for me...lol. Not really.
- Also, I have 5 full playlists on my iTunes (which is my self-directed project for A.D.D. inspiring lectures). It's coming along quite nicely and I am very pleased.
- Jason is moving out in a couple days
- I have been babysitting a dog (complete with house and car) for some friends since Tuesday. Truly truly, it's been glorious.
- Saw Shrek 2. Very funny! worth the money, I think...just make sure you're in a silly kinda mood, which I wasn't. (Not the movie to see in th middle of an emotional crisis...it becomes annoying and kinda triggers a bit of a violent tendancy. Stupid relationships, stupid talking doney, you know how it is...)
